¼ cup butter or margarine
2 T. cornstarch
3 T. lemon juice
¼ tsp. salt
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1. Sift sugar, cornstarch, and salt into a saucepan. Add the water gradually, stirring constantly. Continue to stir, bring to boiling and simmer 5 min.
2. Remove from heat and blend in the butter or margarine, lemon juice and peel.
Yield: 2 cups sauce
